Refund & Returns Policy

All pieces are meticulously hand created by our selected artists. Art is also a matter of taste and carry specific aesthetic qualities intended by the artist.

We offer a five (5) day money-back guarantee on art purchased through The Art Department

for artwork that you no longer find agreeable. Thereafter, no returns will be accepted.

For returns, please contact Joy at joy@theartdept.co.za to arrange your return.

Please note the following conditions:

  • The artwork must be in the same condition it was in when it was received.

  • Commissioned artworks cannot be returned.

  • Orders that are placed incorrectly or mistakenly are not refundable or exchangeable. The Art Department is not liable for items delivered that were not intended to be ordered.

 

Damaged works:

Please check your artwork thoroughly as soon as you receive it.

Art that was damaged during delivery or incorrectly supplied will be refunded or exchanged, provided that you notify us within 2 business days of receiving it. Please provide pictures showing where the artwork is damaged. Please contact Joy at joy@theartdept.co.za.

Cancellations:

Orders cancelled before courier collection from The Art Department will incur a processing fee.

Thereafter, all orders will be proceed.
